Toyota has long been successful in introducing environmentally friendly vehicles, especially those that involve fuel efficient and low-emission technologies. Sales of vehicles mounted with the Toyota D-4 engine will start within this year. Tokyo―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announced today that it recently completed development of the D-4 direct-injection, 4-stroke gasoline engine.
